Vhöl is a west coast black metal psuedo-supergroup. The band features vocalist Mike Scheidt from YOB; guitarist John Cobbett and bassist Sigrid Sheie join from progressive metal band Hammers of Misfortune; and drummer Aesop Dekker comes in from the band Agalloch. Vhöl has released two drastically different albums, Vhöl (2012) and Deeper Than Sky (2015), both of which have been critically acclaimed and show the chemistry and skill between the veteran group members.
